The Inter-Agency PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) Network in Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, UK (FCDO), and with the support of all members, is pleased to announce the release of the Bangladesh PSEA Inter-Agency Risk Assessment Report 2025.<\/p>\n
The report presents the findings of a nationwide assessment conducted between January and April 2025, covering seven divisions within Bangladesh and the Rohingya refugee response in Cox\u2019s Bazar. It reflects the voices of over 300 stakeholders, including community members, government officials, UN agencies, humanitarian actors, and PSEA focal points.<\/p>\n
The assessment identifies key risk factors contributing to SEA in both humanitarian and development contexts, including climate vulnerability, gaps in legal frameworks, and limited access to survivor-centered services. It also highlights the urgent need for coordinated action, improved accountability, and strengthened capacity across all sectors.<\/p>\n
Key recommendations include:<\/p>\n
Enhancing legal protections and survivor-centered reporting mechanisms.
\nStrengthening the capacity of PSEA focal points and frontline responders.
\nMainstreaming PSEA across clusters, sectors, and implementing partners.
\nInvesting in community awareness and harmonized complaint systems.
